Sports Therapy Scotland is NOT just a clinical service for Sports People. Any one with pain or a query regarding an injury or condition can get in touch for an appointment. We are comfortable working with clients from all walks of society regardless of how they were injured or experienced pain.
We have over 20 years experience working in the professional Sporting environment. From Football , Mixed Martial Arts, Professional Ice Hockey and many others. Recently we were tasked with looking after the Hollywood actor Chris Pine during the full shoot of the Netflix Film “Outlaw King”. This role quickly branched out to treating other main cast members, stuntmen, directors and quite literally at least 2 crew members from each department on the shoot!
Sports Therapy is an aspect of healthcare that is specifically concerned with the prevention of injury and the rehabilitation of the patient back to optimum levels of functional, occupational and sports specific fitness, regardless of age and ability.
It utilises the principles of sport and exercise sciences incorporating physiological and pathological processes to prepare the participant for training, competition and where applicable, work.
Why Choose The Society of Sports Therapists?
The Society of Sports Therapists was established in 1990 to address the growing demands from sport and leisure on everyone involved in the management and care of injured participants.
